Land That I Love - Part 4 One floss symbol and color are missing from the list on the back page of the chart ... symbol 8, DMC color 738 (Anchor color 372), Tan - Vy. Lt. Heart To Heart - the finished design size should be 76 stitches wide x 196 stitches high, not 1196 stitches high. YIKES!! Land That I Love - Part 6 - On some of the very first charts that went out, all of the colors are listed in the floss list on the back of the chart, but a color conversion is missing for one of the colors. It's for symbol "m" which is DMC color 816. The Anchor color should be 1005, and the color name is Garnet. One floss symbol and color are missing from the list on the back page of the chart ... symbol S, DMC color 3825 (Anchor color 323), pale pumpkin. Dweezle - When I created the separate over-one chart for Dweezle's face, the colors used in his face were eliminated from the master graph. A stitcher brought this to my attention last night, and the color key has been revised - but those of you who bought one of the first charts are missing symbols and colors for 4 threads. They are:
Also, the final finished size on 32 count fabric should be 5-3/8" wide x 8-7/8" high. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused! Moonflowers - the stitched design size should be 70 stitches wide x 205 stitches high, instead of 70 stitches wide x 196 stitches wide. A Sampler For All Seasons - All cross stitches done using 2 strands of floss over 2 fabric threads; backstitching done using one strand of floss unless otherwise indicated. Also, the stitch diagram for the Hungarian stitch incorrectly shows vertical stitches going over one and three threads to form the pattern. These vertical stitches should be stitched over two and four fabric threads to fill up design section 5, as shown on actual chart. Angeline - there is an error on the leaves in the border. The leaves on the right and left sides of the piece should be the same. The solid filled in heart symbol, which is DMC color 470, should be stacked in a series of 10 stitches for each leaf. The left side of the chart is correct ... the leaves on the right side of the chart only have 9 of the solid heart stitches in them ... these should be stitched the same as the leaves along the left border. The rest of the border - top and bottom - are correct. With Thread In Hand - the charted flowers in the center of the needle case front somehow got printed with strange symbols!! The symbol shown as "( " should be "a" (or 3835) and the symbol shown as "  "
should be "2" (or 3836).Emily's Snow Day - in the top row of the bottom border, the 13th stitch in from the left should be DMC color 316. (On some early charts it was indicated as DMC 778, and has since been revised). Also in some very early copies of Emily, the color for symbol "Z" is missing. That color should be DMC 760 (Anchor 1022) - Salmon. Planted Hearts Needle Roll and Scissors Fob - I inadvertently left off the backstitch instructions!!! Back stitch all vines and stems in 3052 (262); back stitch verse in 327 (100). If I Could Be A Snowman - Unintentionally omitted the bead color names on the chart! Since the beads are included, it would help if you knew which was which. #02005 are the pink glass beads, #02012 are the red beads, and #03041 are the white beads. Let it Snow - the symbol "a" should be blended threads - 1 strand each of 902 and 415. Land That I Love - Part 10 - there are a few missing symbols in the color legend. The symbol "#" is DMC 3731 (Anchor 76), and the symbol "/" is DMC 3722 (Anchor 1027). On the Arizona chart, in the picture of the cactus, the symbol "%" should be color 3771. This same area on the enlargement detail of the cactus shows those same stitches as a ".." symbol. Again, the color used for those stitches in the cactus should be 3771. The symbol  is DMC 745 (Anchor 300).Candy Cane Kisses - the Crescent Colours floss color listed as Holly Jolly should be Jolly Holly. Trimming the Tree - Border is backstitched using one strand 699 (923) instead of 666 as it states in the directions. MIDNIGHT RIDE: All backstitching is done using 1 strand of floss except for bat wings (in front of the moon) - those were stitched using 2 strands of black floss. Buddies - It's been brought to my attention that some of the variegated threads I used in this design have either been discontinued by DMC, or are only available when purchased as a "set" of colors from some of the retail chains. If you have difficulty finding any of these 4 variegated shades the following color substitutions can be used, and the end result will be very similar to the original. From Weeks Dye Works, use 1307 (Americana) for the blue variegated DMC 4240; use 1224 (Amber) for the gold variegated DMC 111 and use 2266 (Turkish Red) for the red variegated DMC (115). Because I can't find another variegated grey/black like I used the snowman's hat (DMC 53) - using one strand each of DMC black (310) and DMC grey (415) will work, and will give you a "heathered" effect. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused! Land That I Love - Part 8 - 2 symbols are missing from the color chart. Symbol "1" should be DMC 744 (Anchor 301), and symbol "Z" should be DMC 351 (Anchor 10). |
