| Last month I received the nicest letter from Lillian Pfannes in Winston-Salem, NC. She told me that she loves stitching Halloween designs, and that she had stitched "Ezmiralda's Brew" THREE times! She started out with a bell pull stitched over one thread on 18 count fabric; then last year made a wall hanging on 14 count fabric stitched over two threads. When her daughter saw it, she begged for one for herself ... that was Ezzi number 3. Lillian said she has enough fabric for one more, and I get the feeling that one will be for her granddaughter! I thought you might like to see what she did with these ... thanks so much, Lillian, for sending me the pictures! |
| I've heard from a few stitchers who wanted to stitch my state samplers and make them into a quilt ... well, I thought you'd all be interested in seeing what one stitcher did! Grace Leung from Canton, MI, contacted me last year about my samplers, wondering if I was going to do all 50 states. She said she enjoyed working on the samplers, and that she was learning about each state as she went along. She wanted to stitch ALL 50 and make them into a quilt. Grace did finish them all (what a project!); she made them into 5 quilts with 10 states on each quilt, and exhibited them at the Canton Liberty Festival this past July. I thought you might enjoy seeing what she did with them!
